All journeys are calculated from and conclude at a central location within St Andrews, Fife.
Bookings made for Bank Holidays or other Public Holidays may incur a surcharge. Please contact us for the specific rate applicable to bookings on these dates. Any costs associated with car parking, tolls, or porterage will be added to the total fare.
Clients will be responsible for any parking fines or tickets obtained if the chauffeur is instructed to wait in a restricted area at the client’s request. These charges will be passed on at cost.
For the safety of luggage during transit, all hard-shell cases or boxes must be stowed in the boot of the vehicle. A reasonable amount of hand luggage may be carried inside the car with the chauffeur’s permission, ensuring it does not compromise passenger comfort or safety.
The chauffeur will determine the most efficient route to your destination based on current traffic conditions and will always drive at a safe and appropriate speed. While we strive for punctuality, Chauffeur Prestige cannot accept liability for delays caused by unforeseen traffic incidents such as road closures, accidents, or heavy congestion, which may impact arrival times and subsequent travel plans.
Chauffeur Prestige is not responsible for any personal items left behind in the vehicle by passengers.
To comply with our insurance policies, only our employed chauffeurs are authorized to operate our vehicles. For your safety and to prevent accidental damage, we recommend allowing the chauffeur to handle the opening and closing of car doors. Any damage caused to the vehicle’s doors or bodywork by a client or their guests will be the client’s full financial responsibility. Similarly, any damage to the interior of the vehicle caused by clients or their guests will be charged in full, along with any loss of revenue incurred if the vehicle is taken out of service for repairs, calculated at the prevailing daily hire rate.
Quotations for fixed-price journeys are based on the specific details provided at the time of booking, including estimated duration and distance. Any significant deviation from the agreed itinerary resulting in additional hours or mileage will be subject to our standard overage charges.
Waiting charges will be applied as follows:
Port Collections
Free 45 minutes waiting. £1 per minute charge thereafter.
Non Port Collections
Free 15 minutes waiting. £1 per minute thereafter.
To ensure a pleasant environment for all passengers, smoking is strictly forbidden in all our vehicles. The consumption of food and drinks inside the vehicle is not permitted without the express consent of the chauffeur.
Any person deemed to be under the influence of alcohol/drugs may be refused entry to the vehicle by the chauffeur.
While not obligatory, gratuities to the chauffeur are at the client’s discretion and are always appreciated. Clients may request that a gratuity be added to their final invoice.
Should you need to cancel your chauffeur service with less than 24 hours notice before your scheduled journey, the full cost of the booking will be charged.
Cancellations made within the 24-48 hour period leading up to your confirmed hire time will result in a charge equal to 50% of the total service fee.
For cancellations made with more than 48 hours notice, no cancellation fee will be applied.
All services provided by Chauffeur Prestige are governed by these cancellation terms, without exception. We kindly request that you review and fully agree to these conditions before confirming your booking with us.
Once booking is confirmed an invoice will be issued and payment will be paid by bank transfer.
